Construction Schedule & Activity Updates
Project Update: Week of April 28, 2024
Wood wall panels and integrated window units are now being installed on the second floor of the building as construction continues on schedule. The framework of individual apartments and hallways will be put in place in the coming weeks as each floor takes shape. Two walk-up job applicants also visited the site recently to inquire about job opportunities.
General Schedule
The general contractor managing day-to-day activity on this project is Cranshaw Construction, based in Newton Lower Falls. Founded in 1983, the company has built more than 35 million square feet of space in Boston and its surrounding metro area.
Construction is expected to be completed in March 2025. This page will provide regular updates on site activity.
Here is a general outline of what to expect in the months ahead:
November 2023 to January 2024 - The foundation for the building will be dug and installed, along with utility conduits. Exterior walls, stairwells, elevator pits and other concrete forms will be poured.
January to March 2024 - The podium for the building - meaning the first floor infrastructure, flooring systems and wall structures - will be installed. Residents can expect crane activity on the site during this period and through August, as other elements of the building are erected.
April to September 2024 - Wood framing will be installed on floors two through five. Roofing will be installed.
